These are the questions roofing owners ask before working with us, answered as directly as we can. If yours isn't here, call, text or email; you'll get a straight answer from a senior strategist, even if the answer is that you don't need us.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

Trades.Agency plans start at $1,999 a month month-to-month, or $1,499 a month on annual billing. Elite is $3,999 and Enterprise $7,999 a month month-to-month. Canadian roofers add GST/HST for their province (GST and QST in Quebec), and ad spend is separate.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No. Every plan runs month to month, and 30 days' notice is enough to stop. Choose annual billing only if you want the lower monthly rate.

We tried an agency before and got nothing. Why would this be different?

We can't promise it will be, but we can make it easy to tell. We measure answered calls and booked inspections, report them monthly and keep every account in your name, so if it isn't working you can see it and leave.

Who owns my website, profile and ad accounts?

You do. Your Google Business Profile, ad accounts, analytics and website stay in your company's name, and we work as managers with access you can remove at any time.

How long until I see more calls?

Profile fixes and review routines can show up within weeks. Organic search builds over months. Storm-season campaigns depend on the weather, so we judge them event by event.

What do the monthly reports show?

Calls, texts and emails received, booked inspections where you track them, review counts and replies, and ad spend against results. Reports are short and written in plain language.

Are you a roofing contractor?

No. Roofer.Help is a digital marketing and business consulting service. We never inspect, install, repair or quote roofs, and we never present ourselves to homeowners as roofers.

Can you help with insurance claims?

Not with the claims themselves. We help you market your roofing services honestly to homeowners who have a claim open. Questions about coverage go to the insurer, and contract or payment wording goes to your lawyer.

Will you run aggressive storm ads for me?

We'll run prepared, targeted ones. We won't run ads that mimic weather warnings, imply an insurer or government link, offer to cover deductibles or invent urgency.

Can you get my suspended Google profile back?

We can fix what caused the suspension and prepare a reinstatement request with the right evidence. Google makes the final decision, so no one can honestly promise reinstatement.

Do you buy or swap reviews?

Never. Google's policy bans incentivised and fake reviews, and misleading reviews raise Competition Act concerns. We help you ask every real customer instead.

Do you work with roofers outside BC?

Yes. We're headquartered in Vancouver and work with roofing companies in every province and territory, meeting by video call or in person, or talking by phone, text and email.

Do you work in French?

Our guides are in English. For Quebec roofers, the province's language rules call for French in commercial advertising and on websites aimed at Quebec customers, so we plan French content from the start. Our Quebec page links the official guidance.

Money and contracts

Plans are month-to-month, priced in Canadian dollars, with GST/HST added for your province (GST and QST in Quebec). The Trades.Agency plans are Growth, Elite and Enterprise, and annual billing lowers each one. Ad spend is a separate budget you pay to the platform, and you can see every dollar.

We'd rather you stayed because the phone rings than because a contract says so. The full breakdown, with a worked budget check, is on the pricing page.

Ownership and access

Everything is yours: the profile, the accounts, the website and the data. We work with manager-level access that you can revoke. If you leave, you keep it all and nothing needs to be "handed back".

This matters more than many owners realise. We regularly meet roofers whose Business Profile is owned by a former employee or an old agency. Fixing that is one of the first things we check, and our Business Profile service covers it.

Results and reporting

We report the numbers that pay your crews. Calls, texts and emails received, inspections booked, reviews earned and what ads cost per booked inspection. Rankings and traffic appear only as supporting detail.

Nobody can honestly promise you leads or rankings, and you should be suspicious of anyone who does. What we do promise is that you'll know each month whether the work is paying off. For examples of the method in action, see results from our HVAC work.

The lines we won't cross

Some requests we decline, and we'd rather say so before you sign.

  • No fake, bought, swapped or filtered reviews.
  • No storm ads that look like warnings or imply an insurer or government affiliation.
  • No insurance, legal or claims advice.
  • No texting or emailing people who haven't consented under Canadian anti-spam law.
  • No keyword-stuffed business names or fake office addresses on your profile.

These rules protect you. Each one is a common reason roofing companies get suspended, penalised or reported. Our insurance-work page explains the honest alternative for claim-related jobs.

Timelines, in practice

Some fixes are quick, others compound slowly, and storm work depends on the weather. Correcting a profile name, category or service area can be done within days, and the effect on calls usually shows within a few weeks. A review routine starts producing new reviews as soon as your next jobs finish. Content and local search pages build over months, and their value grows with each season. Storm-season plans are built ahead and then judged event by event.

A realistic first ninety days for many roofers looks like this:

  1. Weeks 1–2: profile audit and fixes, tracking set up, review routine started.
  2. Weeks 3–6: core service pages and municipality pages written or rewritten.
  3. Weeks 7–12: storm plan built and approved, insurance-work wording cleaned up, first monthly reports reviewed together.

If you've been burned before

Ask the questions that would have saved you last time. Who owns the accounts? What exactly will be reported, and how often? What happens if you want to leave? Can you see the ad spend directly? We answer each of those in writing before any work begins, and the answers are the same as on this page: you own everything, reports are monthly and plain, and you can leave on 30 days' notice.

Still deciding?

Read a guide first. The storm-season playbook and the Business Profile manual are free and complete. If you follow them and still want help, you'll arrive with a clearer idea of what you need, and we'll both save time.
